“The 20/20 Experience" - Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake likes to do things by halves.

Ahead of the Sept. 30 U.S. release of part two of “The 20/20 Experience,” the pop star has issued a second “open letter” to his fans.
The pop artist -- still basking in the afterglow of a starring performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday -- has also dropped a short video documenting the new album’s creation.
The two-minute clip features behind-the-scenes studio footage, and captures Timberlake and Timbaland goofing about and chatting on how they went about tackling “20/20.”
The album, we’re told, was recorded at a brisk pace. Timberlake and his team cut 20 songs in just 20 days.
"We usually take our time,” he says to Timbaland, “and I felt like it would drive the creativity in a different way to feel like we had to sprint every day, and it would hyper-focus us."

In the accompanying letter, Timberlake explains that the songs were written “over a year ago” and that “it’s been so hard to wait this long to release them.”
Of the recording sessions, he enthuses, “It was like no other time I’ve ever had in the studio.”
Timberlake shared the track-listing for "The 20/20 Experience Pt. 2" earlier this month. Its predecessor, "The 20/20 Experience," bowed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 968,000 copies.
