50 Cent Will Release 10 New Songs Next Week

After a bit of drama earlier in the week, 50 Cent is bringing the focus back to his music with plans to drop some new tracks next week. Early on Sunday morning (November 27), Fif posted the news on Twitter, announcing that he will soon unleash the “BIG 10” project, featuring ten new tracks, each of which will have a video to accompany them. The new songs will be released a decade after his first official mixtape, 2002’s 50 Cent Is The Future.

The "Big 10" will be a treat for fans who have been waiting patiently for the Queens rapper’s fifth studio album. As early as January 2011, 50 revealed that he was 80 percent done with Black Magic, promising that it would arrive by the summer, but the date has come and gone and the album has since been shelved. A reworked album, still untitled, is set for a tentative December release--but next week sounds way more concrete than anything fans have had this year.

“Its been 10 years since I put out 50cent is the future. So I'm putting out the BIG 10 next week 10 smoking hot tracks #SK,” 50 wrote on Twitter. I'm shooting videos for every song on the tape. The BIG 10 I got something for a haters ass it called hits lol #SK”

Before announcing his new project, 50 Cent’s previous tweets addressed his back-and-forth with T.I., explaining that the matter had been resolved. “Look how much you fools have been tweeting about me and @tip I spoke to him last night you sh-t heads should be tweeting about streetking,” he wrote. “You know I try to do the right thing. I'm starting to feel like good guys finish last. You talk more about sh-t then can go bad then positive things.”

Well it’s all good now, because fans will have some new music to talk about. Hollarlujah.
